Brexit and .eu domain names

On the 21st December 2018, the UK Government issued advice for UK citizens owning .eu domains should there be a 'no deal' outcome to Brexit.

Many people think this may be more of the UK government and EU fearmongering that we're all aware of, but we think it is better to be safe than sorry and prepare for the worst-case scenario.

From our findings, it seems that UK citizens (or businesses without an EU presence) will NOT be allowed to use '.eu' domains. This is evidenced in this April 2018 statement from the European Commission.

Our recommendation to all the UK citizens and businesses that own a '.eu' domain is to prepare for the eventuality of having to change it.
