A recent scam going around the web and to businesses all across the UK entices business owners and people to ring an 0809, 0284, 0876 number to receive important information.
You may receive an answer phone message or a email asking you to urgently ring them back to receive this information. Reports that have been shown on the web and the bit these people don't want you to know is that these numbers are located in the Dominican Republic and the minimum charge per minute is £1500.00 ($2425.00 USD).
The important information is in fact a lie and these numbers are a scam to steal thousands of business owners and anybody else thinking someone has important information about them.
Police across the UK have urged people not to call these numbers back and unfortunately reports on the net show that your phone company will not issue a refund because it was yourself who made the call, it doesn't matter if you didn't know about the call charges.
