How to set your emails up in Outlook 2013 and 2016

The following step by step guide will show you how to set up your email account on Outlook 2013 and 2016

Step 1:

Open Outlook 2013 and click File

Step 2:

Click Info and then click Add Account


Step 3:

Click the radio button next to Manual setup or additional server types and then click Next >



Step 4:

Click the radio button next to POP or IMAP email account and then click Next >


Step 5:

This is the most important step:

Your Name: In this box write your name or your business name (this will be shown to people receiving your emails)
Email Address: Write the email address you are setting up, for example, yourname@example.com
Account Type: choose IMAP

Incoming Server: imap.stackmail.com
Outgoing Server (SMTP) - smtp.stackmail.com

Username: Type the email address you are setting up in this box, this should be the same as the email address you entered a moment ago.
Password: Type your password into this box.

Make sure remember password is ticked
Make sure Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is unticked



Step 6:

Click More Settings ...



Step 7:

Click the Outgoing Server tab, then make sure My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is ticked
Now click the radio button next to Use same settings as my incoming mail server

Step 8:

Click on the Advanced Tab and make sure the incoming port number is 993 and the security type is SSL
Then make sure the outgoing port number is 465 and the security type is SSL.

Now click OK

Step 9:

You will be taken back to the previous window and now all you have to do is click Next >
The wizard will now connect to the server and send a test email



If all your details have been entered correctly the tests will complete successfully and you can click Close



Step 10:

You're all done, the account has been set up and you can now send and receive emails, click Finish to close the wizard and start sending/receiving your emails.
