How to setup emails on iPhone and iPad - iOS 14 - iOS 17

This guide shows you how to set up your IMAP emails on an iPhone or iPad running iOS 14 to iOS 17.

First tap Settings on your iPhone

Now scroll down the screen and tap Mail

Now tap Add Account
If you already have 1 (or more) accounts setup on your device click Accounts and then click Add Account

From the list shown, tap Other

Now tap Add Mail Account (under MAIL)

Now enter the Name you want to appear when people receive an email from you,
follow this by entering your Email address and Password.

The Description will be created for you, you can leave this as it is OR change it,the decision is yours.

Once you've filled everything out click Next (top right).

Before you continue, make sure IMAP is selected, once it is, please continue

Under INCOMING MAIL SERVER type the following if it's not already showing:

Host Name: imap.stackmail.com

Username: your email address (e.g. name@domain.com)

Password: Your email password

Under OUTGOING MAIL SERVER type the following if it's not already showing:

Host Name: smtp.stackmail.com

Username: your email address (e.g. name@domain.com)

Password: Your email password

Now click Next, your iPhone will now Verify the details you have entered.

If you get any errors, please double check you have entered all the information correctly and click Next (top right) again.

If you see the screen above your account has been set up correctly

If you like you can sync iPhone Notes to your email account. Tap the toggle so it lights up green (if you want to sync notes to your email account).

Once you are ready click Save (top right)

Your email account is now added BUT Before we finish, follow the steps below to make sure your emails are secure.

You should now see a screen like above, the only difference being yours will display the description you chose whereas ours says Groupwm.

Click on the email account you just added

Now click on Account (under IMAP).

Tap on SMTP (under OUTGOING MAIL SERVER).

Tap On (under PRIMARY SERVER).

Now make sure the Toggle next to Use SSL is on. If it is on the toggle will be green (like above).

Whilst you're on this screen make Authentication is set to Password.

If it isn't - Tap Authentication

Tap from Password from the list and then tap < Back (top left)

Make sure the Server Port is: 465

Now click Done (top right)

On this screen tap < Account (top left)

And to finish click Done (top right).

That's it, your email account is now secure.

How to setup your IMAP emails on MacMail

Follow the step by step guide below to set your IMAP emails up on Mac Mail.
This guide is based on macOS High Sierra 10.13.6

Step 1
Tap the mac mail icon

Step 2
From the menu at the top of the screen tap Mail and then select Preferences

Step 3
From the Preferences window tap the Accounts tab

Step 4
Click the + symbol

Step 5
Click Other Mail Account and then tap continue

Step 6
Enter your Name, your email address and your password and click Sign in

If your system says it was unable to verify the account you will be asked to enter more information, this information is:

Step 7
enter your username, this is your email address
The incoming server is imap.stackmail.com
The outgoing server is smtp.stackmail.com

The click Sign in

Step 8
Click done to confirm the apps you want to use with your account.

That's it you can now send and receive emails
